On the personal side, Maggie is originally from Havana, Cuba. She is a graduate from the University of South Florida with an engineering degree in 1975. After graduating, Maggie was employed by Tampa Electric Company where she worked directly helping customers as well as bulk power sales. Maggie was married to husband Reynee, now deceased for 43 years and they raised 3 sons in the Tampa Bay Area. As you might expect she is bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English.
