Christie Arkovich has been a Florida licensed attorney for more than 25 years since graduation from Stetson College of Law in 1992 with honors. She owns a small law firm in South Tampa that caters to consumers and represents clients faced with bankruptcy, foreclosure and student loans as well as other debt.
Her legal expertise helps her clients clear up their credit and qualify for a home loan even when they have had significant legal problems in the past. Lately, a big focus of the firm has been to reduce or eliminate overwhelming student loan debt.
Ms. Arkovich is a frequent speaker at various consumer oriented continuing legal education seminars for other attorneys including the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association (the “TBBBA”). She also writes a quarterly column for the TBBBA, Student Loan Sidebar, about recent student loan related laws, regulations and developments nationwide.
